Our Story
UAE Mobile Apps started in 2018 when Jen Blocher saw a gap in the Rochester market. Local businesses wanted mobile apps but kept getting steered toward expensive agencies in NYC or cheap offshore teams that never quite understood what they needed.
We're different. We're local. When you call us, you're talking to someone who knows the Finger Lakes region, understands seasonal businesses, and has actually been to the places our clients serve.
Over the years we've grown from a one-person operation to a small team of developers and designers. We've stayed intentionally small—it keeps our process personal and our quality high.
Meet Jen Blocher
Jen founded UAE Mobile Apps after spending a decade in software development at companies in the Rochester area. She got tired of watching small business owners overpay for apps they didn't need or underpay for apps that didn't work.
Her approach is straightforward: listen first, build second. No pushing features you won't use. No upselling maintenance you don't need. Just honest conversations about what makes sense for your business and your budget.
When she's not in the office, you'll find her at local meetups, the Rochester Public Market on Saturday mornings, or somewhere along the Erie Canal with her family.
